Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Layers app and website, provided under the name Layers (“we”, “us”). By using Layers, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Questions can be sent to support@layersweather.com.

What Layers provides

Layers displays weather forecasts and related information and suggests clothing based on forecast conditions and your comfort preferences. Plans interprets an activity and time window using local rules. Review the interpreted times and locations before relying on a recommendation. The app is currently in development; features and availability may change.

Weather and clothing guidance

Forecasts, radar, air quality and alerts may be incomplete, delayed, unavailable or inaccurate. “Feels like for you” is a comfort estimate, not a measurement of your body temperature. Clothing recommendations are general suggestions, not medical advice or a guarantee of comfort or safety.

Layers is not an emergency warning service. Do not rely on it as your only source of information during severe weather or other hazardous conditions. Follow official local warnings and use your own judgment. Demonstration weather and test notifications are not live forecasts or real alerts.

Your account

Keep your account access secure and provide accurate information where required. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Contact us if you suspect unauthorized access. Sign-in providers have their own terms. Demo sign-in, where available, is a local preview and does not create a real provider account.

Acceptable use

Use Layers lawfully. Do not attempt to access another person’s account, bypass access controls, disrupt the service, distribute malicious content, or misuse its infrastructure. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security risks or legal requirements.

Content and third-party services

Layers’ branding, illustrations and software are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms permit ordinary personal use of the service; they do not transfer ownership of its content. Third-party weather, maps, authentication and hosting services remain subject to their own terms and availability.

Privacy and account deletion

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information. Signing out does not delete your account. You can request account deletion by emailing support@layersweather.com; we may verify ownership before acting.

Availability and responsibility

We aim to provide a useful service, but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation or the accuracy of third-party information. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without additional warranties. Nothing in these terms excludes rights, remedies or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer protections.

Changes and ending use

You may stop using Layers at any time. We may update features or these terms, and will provide notice when required by law. Material updates will be identified by a new date on this page. If you disagree with updated terms, stop using the service and contact us about your account.
